If you engage in sports or are suffering from sports injuries or over-use aches and pains, then Sports Massage is for you. I will use techniques tailored to your type of sport to help enhance performance, prevent injury, and speed recovery after an event. Taping may be applied to support sprains and reduce pressure.
Post-event massage speeds recovery and reduces delayed-onset muscle soreness by squeezing out toxins, rehydrating tissues, helping you to relax and feel restored. Along with regular maintenance sports massage, further advice and training tips can be offered. |
Remedial Massage is ideal for the majority of people who suffer aches and pains associated with work, stress, recreational activities, old injuries, inactivity/loss of mobility, or poor postural habits. Back, shoulder and neck problems are common among people who spend long periods sitting, for example, at a PC, laptop or driving.
This is a great form of massage when combined with soft tissue therapy too. I will use appropriate massage therapy techniques and exercises to help you in freeing soft tissues that have become over-tight (fascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments). I may also advise on the causes of problems, and how you can help yourself feel better. |
If you want to relax and slow down then why not treat yourself to a classic deep tissue massage? This flowing, relaxing massage will stimulate your nerve pathways, slowing down the parasympathetic system, reducing body activity including lowering heart rate and blood pressure - great if you have been feeling anxious or over-whelmed.
