Technique Options

At your first session, I’ll ask about your health, lifestyle, and any specific concerns. With your consent, I may assess your posture and joint movement to help guide the treatment.

Each session is tailored to your needs — whether you’re dealing with something specific like tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, or back pain, or simply want to ease everyday tension. Some conditions respond best to shorter, more frequent sessions, which we can plan together if needed.

Follow-up treatments are shaped by your feedback and ongoing assessment.

You can also choose a relaxing Deep Tissue Massage or Fascial Release without a full assessment — ideal for a one-off session, during a holiday, or simply as a treat.

Regular maintenance massage is a great way to support your long-term health and wellbeing.

Soft Tissue Therapy combines the most appropriate techniques to suit your individual needs using a clinically-informed approach to assessment and treatment.  The types of massage therapy which can form the focus of your treatment are outlined below.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is designed for anyone who trains regularly, competes, or experiences pain and tension from repetitive movement or overuse.

Whether you’re preparing for an event or recovering after one, this treatment uses techniques specific to your sport to improve performance, aid recovery, and prevent injury. Post-event massage helps reduce muscle soreness, rehydrate tissues, and leave you feeling relaxed and restored.

Supportive taping may be used to relieve strain, and I’m happy to offer advice on training and injury prevention to support your goals.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is ideal for everyday aches and pains caused by work, stress, past injuries, poor posture, or reduced mobility. It’s especially helpful if you spend long hours doing repetitive activities like sitting, driving, or using a computer.

Using targeted massage and soft tissue techniques, I help release over-tight muscles, fascia, and tendons — relieving discomfort and restoring movement. Feedback during your session will help you learn how to make gradual improvements to spinal alignment and muscle tone.

You’ll also receive tailored advice to help you understand the causes of your pain and what you can do to feel better between sessions.

Fascial Release

Fascia is the body’s connective tissue — a continuous web that surrounds and links your muscles, bones, and organs. It plays a key role in how you move, feel, and hold tension.

Fascial Release is a gentle, slow technique that helps restore movement, ease chronic pain, and improve hydration in tissues. Because fascia is so interconnected, releasing tightness in one area — even if it isn’t painful — can bring relief elsewhere.
This technique doesn’t rely on deep pressure, making it ideal if you’re sensitive to touch. It helps ‘unlock’ areas of habitual tightness, boosts circulation, and improves your overall sense of freedom and connection in the body.

Relaxing Deep Tissue Massage

If you’re feeling tense, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a moment to slow down, a relaxing deep tissue massage is the perfect treat. This flowing, calming treatment is designed to ease physical and mental stress by stimulating the body’s parasympathetic nervous system — helping to lower heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and promote deep relaxation.
It also boosts circulation and supports the lymphatic system, helping your body to flush out waste and rehydrate tired muscles and connective tissues. Ideal if you're looking to unwind and recharge — whether as a one-off session or a regular part of your self-care routine.
